Artificial intelligence and research progress

by alfogarc | May 2, 2025 | Post | 0 comments

The increasing proliferation of scientific literature is making research work significantly more difficult, requiring a greater investment of time in literature review and taking time away from the research itself.

Large-scale language models (LLM) appear as a potential solution to this problem by offering the ability to synthesise information more efficiently compared to conventional methodologies. However, the current debate emphasises the need to critically consider both the opportunities and risks inherent in their widespread implementation in knowledge dissemination processes.
